  • champ: $SPY...the Markets are working nicely today....and so for, that is happening on a huge #Options-Expirations-Day.......... ....normally the Markets would be more volatile, with more drops, with even more zig-zags........... ....so for me, this is a nice surprise. The Markets must like all of that positive News-flow, about all of those New $$$$, that are somewhere around $2.5-$3 trillion $$$'s, that will be invested into the U.S., from Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, (the UAE), off of P-Trumps trip, to the Middle East. ....If the Markets were to get a nice close today, that would be another positive Set-up for me, to add some more $$$ into the Markets, some more risk. ......$TQQQ $SPXL $FAS $NAIL........ $CEP $MSTX.....for Now, I'm still holding these swings, plus 10 other stock positions .....and I'm also trading $COIN and $DJT ..and it looks like I will be swinging some of both. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

My plan was to let these expire because it is just too expensive to close/roll short strikes before expiry for a triple, but the price action dictates otherwise. And there's chatter about the old short $MSTX long Bitcoin strategy reminding me to stay away.

  • woodman: @SamikRoy $MSTX $MSTR $MSFT $TSLA $NFLX $IBIT - Definitely possible. It's a matter of your risk tolerance and what you see as the risk-reward potential. I will hold some $MSTR through, but I won't bet the farm. At least for me, the pain of a loss is greater than the pleasure of a gain, all things being equal.
  • woodman: @limes141 $MSTX $MSTR - With respect to the MSTR chart, $405 is near term resistance. If it gets up through that, there's good room to continue higher. Looking at potential resistance in the 437-445 area, and after that a test of the all time high of $543.

Been having the best outcomes with $MSTX and $RIOT but all have some nice intraday moves if can catch right or overnight swings if they were particularly beaten down on a given day. Not always easy as they move fast.

  • joelsg1: @billyzeke $MSTR I've given up on this and $MSTX. Too hard, and the premium over FMV Btc is played with, which is why they don't always move together. Prefer $IBIT and atm calls once a turn gets going.

I know it's one of @Scott's favorites and it used to be one of mine back when it was giving me monster gains but lately it has done nothing but give me the death of a 1,000 paper cuts. I was just aggravated that it did the exact opposite of what I thought it would do today...(I should be used to that as most stocks do that to me on a daily basis, but I digress..)   • joelsg1: $MSTX After mixed results with wide call spreads, I've refined my strategy to st narrow spreads, e.g. Jan. $57-60 spreads lots of them avg. cost $1 filled for now and expiring today. Ladder up every 1-2 weeks, so now 1/31 hope they fill and let them expire, rinse and repeat while in upswing. Relatively low cost depending on size, decent risk/reward, not a widow maker.
